Images of the 2011 Indy 500 Parade Lap by Indianapolis Motor Speedway Photographers

Over 40 Indianapolis Motor Speedway photographers were stationed throughout the oval for the 2011 Indy 500 Parade Lap. Here is a sampling of several memorable images from this talented crew:

The Marmon "Wasp", winner of the 1911 Indy 500 Race, and the Alco "Black Beast" were the first two racers for the parade lap.

Seven cars particpated two hours before the 2011 Race.

When the Marmon had trouble starting, the "Black Beast" was asked to take the lead.

Ron McQueeney's great photo of Emerson Fittipaldi and me at the "Yard of Bricks".

A big smile after the parade lap.
