Highlights from the 3rd Clean Up the Old Bethpage Motor Parkway Bridge Day &Tonight’s LIMPPS Meeting
Great progress was made over the last three days to clean up and restore the area around the Old Bethpage Motor Parkway Bridge. Some highlights:
Joe Presti of Presti Stone and Mason, Freeport, New York, donated seven truckloads of crushed stone. Over $2,500 was donated to cover the costs of the trucks and labor. Thanks to all for your contributions.

Eighteen members of the Ford Model A Club and the Long Island Motor Parkway Preservation Society spreading the crushed stone on Saturday.
Heavy equipment was brought back on Monday to clean debris and spread the crushed stone.

Meeting of the Long Island Motor Parkway Preservation Society on Tuesday, December 6, 2001
A meeting of the Long Island Motor Parkway Preservation Society will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 beginning at 7:30 PM. Due to our growing membership, the meeting has moved to a new location- the auditorium at Old Bethpage Village Restoration, 1303 Round Swamp Road, Old Bethpage. We will be discussing plans progress on the Old Bethpage Motor Parkway Bridge, a presentation ""Motor Parkway: From Round Swamp Road to Broad Hollow Road" and plans for 2012. All are welcome!!
If you wish to assist in projects concerning the Motor Parkway, please join the Long Island Motor Parkway Preservation Society. It looks GREAT!!!
How wonderful it is to see the bridge! As a kid father would take me for walks from the Bethpage picnic grounds and we found this place one afternoon. As an adult I went back looking for it only to find it gone. Another piece of history torn down. I got to thinking it must have been buried due to vandals and what do you know! Thank you all!

You may be thinking of the Motor Parkway bridge that was in Bethpage State Park that was torn down in the 1980s.
The above bridge is located about one mile away in Old Bethpage Village Restoration
