A very distant relative of mine, Lee Frayer, raced in the 1906 Vanderbilt Cup and the 1911 Indianapolis 500. It was very interesting to hear about the history of the Vanderbilt Cup and to actually see the cup later in the episode."

Interesting to note that they seem to have alternated wood spoke and wire wheels. Very few cars used wires back then, even though bicycle technology was well-proven. Sam, III
