Smiles, Thumbs Ups and Rides at the Heckscher Museum of Art
The entire Black Beast team had a wonderful time at the Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington on Saturday and Sunday at the opening of the exhibit "Car Culture: Art and Automobile".
Enjoy,

Presentation "The Incredible Vanderbilt Cup Races of Long Island"
To assist in the opening of the exhibit, I gave a lecture at the "Brunch and Presentation" featuring several pieces of my Vanderbilt Cup Races artwork.
The program attracted a standing room only crowd.....
.... it must have been the brunch!!!
The presentation noted that August Heckscher, the man who built the art museum, was one of the original Long Island Motor Parkway directors.
This was August Heckscher speaking at the 1908 ground-breaking ceremony for the Motor Parkway. Heckscher, who was the Huntington's Commissioner of Highways, said: "“Embrace the wonderful progress in transportation..the East River bridges and the tunnel form City Hall to Jamaica. The Motor Parkway would prove as valuable to Long Island and New York City as the bridges and tunnels themselves.”
Velocity Cable Show
A camera crew from Discovery's Velocity channel captured a segment of my presentation for a show on the Vanderbilt Cup Races to be aired in early 2014.

Sure was two great days and again I learned a little more about the limp. As I said to you already that was the best presentation I’ve been to yet,but there’s more to come that will probably be better, especially with all the new people that haven’t been to one yet and all the questions too, really interested people.
Get outta here! How did you get a #8 LIMP pass plate? OMG
Hi Frank, It is actually a Long Island Motor Parkway Preservation Society license plate. If anyone wants information on how to obtain one, send an email to me at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) .
