Photos from the St. Patrick’s Fifth Annual Spring Car Show Fundraiser

What a wonderful day at the Fifth Annual Spring Car Show Fundraiser to benefit the St. Patrick School in Smithtown....Great weather, a diverse group of collectible cars and monster trucks, fun people and smiles from the thousands who attended. Click on the photos to enlarge these Alco-6 "Black Beast" highlights:

Driver Howard Kroplick and his mechanician Rev. Msgr. Ellsworth Walden.

The "Black Beast" roared every 30 minutes and was a big head-turner.

Veteran race car driver Marty Himes and his daughter Nancy gave the "Black Beast" two thumbs up.

Hats off to John Forlenza for organizing a great show!

Christine Hunt and her son looked super in the "Black Beast". Christine's great-great grandfather Edward Hawley was a driver in the first Vanderbilt Cup Race. Watch Hawley race William K. Vanderbilt Jr. in this 1905 film of an Ormond -Daytona Beach race.

Howard Kroplick and Motormouth Radio's co-host Ray Guarino discuss the Alco.

Motormouth Radio's co-host Chris Switzer thought the "Black Beast" was a blast.

Proof that it is impossible not to smile while sitting in the "Black Beast".
