Vanderbilt Cup Races

In response to last Sunday's post on the two Pope-Hartfords that ran in the 1910 Vanderbilt Cup Race, Randy Reed of La Mesa, California has provided this information and photos:

"Car #28 is the Ono (Fiat/Pope Hartford) and it finished 10th in the 1915 Vanderbilt Cup Race held in San Francisco. It would appear that Bert Dingley's #22 Pope may have been scavenged for the engine and radiator to create the Ono using the Fiat S74 chassis. Dingley drove the Ono in at least 2 races in 1914. This car is still in it's restored Ono configuration."
