Video of the Week: Barn Find Hunter: The early Mustang that was owned by Henry Ford II

Hagerty has posted a new episode of Tom Cotter's "Barn Find Hunter" on an early Mustang owned by Henry Ford Mustang.

Enjoy,

Howard Kroplick

Note: In the video, Henry Ford II's Mustang (5F07K100148) is identified as a "1963 Prototype." In the confusing world of early Mustangs, this Mustang was not one of the 15 pre-production pilot Mustangs like Mustang III Concept Show Car.

According to automotive historian Bob Fria, it was one of the 180-200 pre-production Mustangs built in the Dearborn plant prior to the official March 9, 1964 date. "The car was driven off the Dearborn line without an interior and taken over to Ford Design whhere it was fitted with custom nuances, including real teakwood appointments, chromed accessories and real leather throughout."

Very neat car!  And kind of crazy history!

Are there yet more prototypes still out there?
