Video: “The 1937 Chrysler’s Chrysler at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance ”


Richard D. Kaye of Los Angeles documented the debut of the restored 1937 Chrysler Imperial LeBaron Town Car with this four-minute video.

Chrysler's Chrysler was awarded  "First in Class" in the American Classic Closed category at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance .  The awards ceremony can be seen at the 2:15 mark of the video and in the below photos captured by Bruce Adams, Richard Kaye and Howard Kroplick.

Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance Awards Ceremony: American Classic Closed Category

The final three of the American Classic Closed category. At this point, we did not know who was awarded "First in Class".

The results announced moments later:

Class C-3: American Classic Closed

1st (Middle):1937 Chrysler Imperial C-15 LeBaron Town Car, Howard & Rosalind Kroplick, East Hills, New York

2nd (Right): 1933 Packard 1005 Twelve Coupe, Laura & Jack B. Smith Jr., Elkhart, Indiana

3rd (Left):1935 Cadillac 370D Fleetwood Town Cabriolet, Pat & Pat Brothers, Bridal Veil, Oregon

May I add my own sincere congratulations on this remarkable achievement.  I am a huge fan of art deco and of Chrysler the man and Chrysler the car.  I hope there will be a book and/or magazine articles about this wonderful restoration.  You have saved an important and magnificent work of art and piece of American history.
