The purpose of the Lambda Car Club International is the enjoyment and exchange of information on old and special interest motor vehicles, combined with social fellowship by gay people interested in such vehicles.

On the 2nd Wednesday of the month is our Empire Car Club open board meeting. A message from Sam Propper, our club President: Please come and join us every 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Empire Diner located at 42 Jerusalem Avenue in Hicksville, NY 11801 Tel.# 516-433-3350. We will meet at 7:30pm for snacks-burgers or whatever you’d like. We have a table in a small room off to the right side of the diner reserved just for us! This date, time and location were very carefully thought out to try and accommodate all of our members from Manhattan to Eastern Long Island. I know, some of you Manhattan folks think we are way out there in hetero-suburbialand but we do have fast, express commuter trains to get you here too! So if you take the LIRR to the Hicksville train station you will only have a 2 minute walk to the diner. When you exit the east-bound train turn to your left on the east-bound platform and walk to the VERY end and proceed down the steps located there. When you reach the bottom continue forward (straight) to the street – Jerusalem Ave.- and turn left and the diner is about 100 yards or so away on your left. If you drive there, parking is right there in front. Take Northern State Pkwy or LIE to Rte. 106/107 and proceed down Broadway about 2 miles and diner is on your right on the corner of West John St. and Broadway .
